Brill-bogie trams of 1926/8

In 1926 the workshops of the CCFP constructed two new bogie cars inspired by the car delivered by Brill in 1904.These cars were wider than the original and got extended platforms. They had the numbers 200 & 201. In 1928 six more cars were constructed. These were a few centimetres wider and longer and numbered 268-273.

When introduced these were mainly working on line 1. In 1929 they were also in service on the lines 2, 7 and 9. In the early 1930‘s their service was equally divided over the lines 1, 5 and 9, which shifted for the last 12 years of the CCFP to mainly line 9 with some services on line 1.

The STCP used the Brill-bogies mainly on the lines 1 and 9. With the renumbering done by the STCP 268-269 became 274-275 and 200-201 became 276-277. From 1950 these cars got 89 hp BTH-114 motors. They kept working on line 1 until the closure of that line in 1994. All eight cars survive although 273 has left Porto for Crich.
